Our Staff

Our HCDC team is creative, cutting edge, efficient, energetic, innovative, powerful, professional, reliable, and trustworthy.

The HCDC team works alongside their executive board members made up of local business owners, and bright entrepreneurs.

Alex began with the Huron County Development Council in April of 2022.  Prior to, Alex began working in community and economic development in 2003 in Georgia.  Through Alex’s career, he has also represented communities in Georgia, Florida, Maryland, and Pennsylvania. 

 Currently, Alex is a member of the Ohio Economic Developers Association and the International Economic Development Council (IEDC).  Alex is a member of IEDC’s Membership Committee. 

 For his past work, Alex has been recognized as both the inaugural Florida Economic Development Council’s 2012 Young Professional of the Year and named to Development Counsellors International, Inc.’s 2017 national 40 Under 40 Rising Stars in Economic Development. 

 Alex graduated from Mercer University in Macon, Georgia, where he received both his B.B.A.s and M.B.A.  Alex is also a graduate of the University of Oklahoma’s Economic Development Institute and completed several industry specific certifications including: the IEDC Certified Economic Developer (CEcD); National Development Council’s Economic Development Finance Professional (EDFP); and U.S. Chamber Foundation’s Institute for Organization Management (IOM). 

 Alex enjoys college football, golf, cooking barbeque on weekends, and spending time with his family.  Alex married his beautiful wife, Mrs. Patricia McCoy of Mercer County, PA, in 2001.  Together they have a son, Hudson Frank McCoy, born in December of 2017.

Office Manager: Ms. Judy Lykins, BBA

Judy joined HCDC in November of 2022. Before coming to HCDC, her career was in the private sector including manufacturing, agriculture, and information technology industries.  Judy holds a B.B.A. in Marketing and Management from the University of Cincinnati and was raised in Huron County.
