HURON COUNTY--THE BIG PICTURE

Huron County is comprised of three cities--Bellevue, Norwalk, and Willard,

seven villages--Greenwich, Milan, Monroeville, New London, North Fairfield, Plymouth, and Wakeman, and

19 townships--Bronson, Clarksfield, Fairfield, Fitchville, Greenfield, Greenwich, Hartland, Lyme, New Haven, New London, Norwalk, Norwich, Peru, Richmond, Ridgefield, Ripley, Sherman, Townsend, and Wakeman. 

The county covers 493.1 square miles and has a population of 59,626.

Agriculture is prominent throughout the county with 770 farms and 217,000 acres of land dedicated to farming.  The county has a diverse manufacturing base, a strong construction industry presence, an excellent transportation system, and exceptional healthcare facilities.

Three US Routes and 15 State Routes can be found in Huron County.  The municipalities throughout the county have quick and easy assess to the Interstate system. 

The quality of life in Huron County is whatever you want to make it.  School and community events abound and big-city and tourist attractions are a one-tank trip through a beautiful rural countryside.
